Pixelsweeper

A handcrafted take on the classic. Same rules you already know, rebuilt from scratch with pixel art, springy animations and a window that lives on your desktop instead of trapping you in a box.

// the game

Same rules, everything else rebuilt

You know how this works. Left click to uncover a tile, right click to plant a flag, and try to not hit a mine. What makes this version different is everything around that core loop.

Every tile flips open with a squash-and-stretch bounce animation. Clear a large empty area and the reveal ripples outward in a wave, each cell landing a pitch higher than the last, so a big cascade turns into a little melody. Start a new game and the whole board flashes open and folds shut again, row by row, before you make your first move.

The window itself is frameless and transparent, sized exactly to the board. No title bar, no wasted chrome. Drag it anywhere on your desktop by grabbing the border, and it stays put when you switch difficulty instead of jumping back to the center.
